Saratoga Springs - Theresa June Byard, 74, passed away on February 9, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital.

Theresa was born June 6, 1949 in Queens, NY, the daughter of Adam and Rose Conforti. She was a High School Graduate of Richfield Springs Central School, Class of 1967. Her favorite subject was Business Math which served her well throughout her life. Theresa married Rick Starr on April 8, 1969, they later divorced. She later married Wayne Byard and later divorced. Although, Theresa moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL for 7 years, she moved back to NY, settling in Saratoga Springs in 1982 where she raised her 2 sons, Jeffrey P. Starr and Mark R. Byard. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. After retiring she had a business making and selling Swarovski crystals, which she was very proud of.

Theresa was baptized at St. Leo's Church in Corona, NY on November 20, 1949.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey P. Starr (Larene) of Malta, NY and Mark R. Byard of Florida; loving grandchildren, Adam D. Starr and Carson T. Starr of Moreau, NY; and her loving Chihuahuas, Sophie and Ginger that she thought of as her children. Theresa was met at the Rainbow Bridge by her precious Chihuahua, Maggie.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Rose; and her brother, Mike Conforti.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral home service that will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 16, 2024, at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff, Funeral Homes 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, 518-584-5373.

A burial will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at St. Peters Cemetery, West Ave., Saratoga Springs, open to family and close friends.
