Greenfield Center, NY – Theresa A. LaBarr-Strakos died on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Saratoga Hospital, after a short illness.

Born in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Skowron) DuJack. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her two husbands, Bernard Henry LaBarr and Andrew John Strakos; six brothers, Joseph, John Joseph, Anthony, John Martin, Michael and George DuJack and five sisters, Mary LaBrecque, Sr. Mary Lidwina CR, Sophia Lansing, Helen LaBrecque and Julia Rizzo.

Theresa was educated in Troy and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was employed at City Hall in Albany, Williams Press for 20 years and then retired in 1987 from the NYS Division of Criminal Justice. Theresa, who was known to her friends as "Mother Theresa", was a member of the Wilton Seniors, Secret Pal, Greenfield Seniors, Greenfield Firehouse Auxiliary and Adirondack Fiddlers. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Andrew to all 50 states and 11 countries.

Survivors include her three children, David (Pegge) LaBarr, Diane (Herk) Coburn and Kathleen (Tim) Garrison; five grandchildren, Erin (Mark) Delnick, Jaime (Ryan) Brown, Jennifer (Ken) Terpening, Jeffrey (Meg) Coburn and Cheryl Lynn (Ryan) Belber; eleven great-grandchildren, Audrey and Ethan Delnick, Matthew and Lindsey Belber, Colin, Henry and Diana Brown, Adelle and Nora Coburn, Emelyn and Patrick Terpening; sister-in-law Marge (George) DuJack and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). Funeral services will be private.
