Saratoga Springs, NY - Theresa M. Place passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 85. Born on May 23, 1926 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Martell and Grace Adinolfi Martell Dominick. She attended Saratoga Springs schools and was instrumental in bringing the Welcome Wagon to Saratoga in the early 1950s. Theresa was a member of the Sweet Adelines for over 25 years, winning a regional championship with the River Valley Chapter. She loved to sing and laugh with her many friends and her home was a memoriam to her favorite singer/entertainer, Frank Sinatra. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 30 years, Richard N. Place and her son, John R. Place. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Place Hunter; her grandsons, Richard Longo, Jr., David and Christopher Place and two great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 11am Monday, March 12, 2012 at Our Ladys Chapel in St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peters Cemetery, West Ave. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
