Broadalbin, NY Thomas E. Brophy age 79 died on February 12, 2022 after a long illness.
Born in Saratoga Springs NY he was the son of the late James Brophy and Dorothy Rocco.
Tom known to many as "Broph" was a member of the United States Navy and served as Airman First Class. He worked at Espey Manufacturing as a tool and die maker in the machine shop in Saratoga Springs for over 30 years.
Broph was a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and enjoyed riding his custom Rusty Wallace Harley-Davidson Motorcycle traveling to New Hampshire (Laconia, Mt. Washington), New York (Lake George Americade, 9/11 Memorial Ride), South Dakota (Sturgis), South Carolina (Blythewood, Myrtle Beach, Columbia), and Wisconsin (Milwaukee).
Broph also enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling, camping, hunting as an avid gun enthusiast, his horses (Snow, Harley, Tanner), and celebrating with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents and wife Kathleen Pierce, and son Timothy Brophy.
He is survived by his daughters Kelly Freebern (Mark), Tammy Clark (Ron); grandchildren Jamie Freebern, Jessica Freebern, Sonya Giglio (Keith), Dustin Clark; Alisa Clark (Aaron); great-grandchildren Faith, Luke, Bret, Audrey; daughter-in-law Marie Brophy; several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial with Military Honors were held at the Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville NY.
