Saratoga Springs - Thomas E. Christopher, Jr., passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 74 years old. Born July 15, 1940, in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of Thomas E. and Frances (Jackson) Christopher, Sr. Tom worked at the General Foods/Universal Packaging facilities in Saratoga Springs for many years. He was a fan of horse racing, local dirt motor sports, NASCAR, and the New York Yankees. In addition to his parents, Tom is predeceased by a son, Randy Christopher. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary (Lafferty) Christopher; two daughters, Susan Christopher of Saratoga Springs, Michelle Harris (John) of Honolulu, HI; one son, Thomas E. Christopher III (Deborah) of Saratoga Springs; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Roma Buel (Leslie) of Gilboa, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Ying, Dr. Wang, and the Saratoga Hospital ICU staff for the excellent care given to Tom. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
