South Glens Falls, NY - Thomas Slocum OReilly of Professional Way (Riverview), passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his home, following a long illness. Tom was born on August 28, 1940 in Saratoga Springs, NY to Florence and John OReilly. Tom was very proud of his appearance and a consummate gentleman. He enjoyed spending time relaxing outdoors in the sunshine and loved to people watch. He loved animals, especially dogs. He also enjoyed playing games, especially Connect Four. Tom could tell a story with his smile. He will also be remembered for his never ending spirit. Tom will be greatly missed by the many people who worked with him at AIM Services, Inc., and Saratoga Bridges Wilton Day Hab. Tom was predeceased by his parents, as well as his brothers, John, Jr., Bob, and sisters, Mary Ellen and Marilyn. Survivors include his brother, William OReilly of Porters Corners, NY and several nieces and nephews. Toms family also expressed their appreciation for Toms extended family, the staff at Riverview, for their wonderful care. He is also survived by many other special friends, too numerous to mention, who held Tom dear to their hearts. There will be no public calling hours. Graveside prayers will be at 11am Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave., Saratoga Springs. Friends may gather at the Riverview residence at 3pm Thursday, April 26, 2012, to share their memories of Tom. Brian Gould, from Community Hospice of Saratoga, will act as spiritual leader.
