Queensbury, NY - Thomas Brown (Tom), 74, peacefully passed away, Thursday March 7, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Tom was born in Glens Falls NY on May 30, 1949, he was the son of the late Winfred Brown and Lillian Mallory.  He lived in Glens Falls most of his life until moving to Queensbury with his son a few years ago. He was previously married to Sharon Lacross of Glens Falls, with whom he had three children.

Tom graduated from Glens Falls high school and went to work for the community workshop (CWI) at the age of 23. He worked for there for over 40 years. In this time, he drove a bus, worked on the shop floor with the clients, and then became the shipping manager driving a truck. He loved his job and made many friendships throughout the years. One of them being his best friend, Debbie Smith.

Throughout his life Tom enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing poker, bowling, softball, and watching sports. He was a fan of the Yankees and the Giants. Although he wouldn't tell them he secretly wanted his sons' favorite teams to do well also. A vacation to Maine every year with his family was a highlight, where many great memories were made. In recent years he enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards with the guys, keeping the dishes done, and enjoying his family.

He is survived by his sons, Ben Brown of Queensbury and Brian Brown of Moreau; daughter, Melanie Harris (Bryan) of North Pownal, VT; six granddaughters, Alexis Brown, Alivia Brown, Macie Brown, Bailey Brown, Lillian Harris and Molly Harris; two sisters, Jean Carpenter of Saratoga Springs and Barbara Brown of Georgia; his best friend Debbie Smith; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, Raymond Brown of Glens Falls and Donald Brown of Bolton.

Dad, Tom, Browny, Papa will be missed by all those who loved him. His sense of humor, Witt, and easy-going kind demeanor have been passed down to his children and granddaughters. We are happy he is at peace and reunited with his family in heaven.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service at 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at William J. Burke & sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518) 584-5373.

Burial will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave, Saratoga Springs following the service.
