Saratoga Springs, NY – Timothy M. Daily 78, peacefully passed away on March 9, 2024 in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Born on June 5, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Mary Ellen (McDowell) and Ruben Daily, Timothy graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Timothy worked as an engineer and researcher on scientific projects ranging from the NASA Apollo 11 project to the University of Pennsylvania, where his work in particle physics took him to conduct experiments in gold mines in Siberia. Timothy's intellectual and spiritual curiosity intersected throughout his life and influenced his dedication to the study of Sufism during the 1980's in New York and Philadelphia. His love of classical chamber music was a sustaining pleasure, especially when attending performances in upstate New York and New England with his family.
Timothy is predeceased by his sister, Jennifer Daily and his stepson, Thomas Spring Osborne. He is survived by his son, Adam Daily (Francesca Cichello) and grandchildren Roman and Mira of Saratoga Springs, NY. His family also includes, Deborah Cooper, Sophie and Christopher Simpson, Jessica and Mangesh Mungekar, Natasha Kassell, and their respective children.
Friends and relatives may call at from 10:00am – 12:00pm on March 15, 2024 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cuniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518) 584-5373. A funeral home service will be held at 12:00pm with a burial following the service at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY.
