Saratoga Springs, NY- Timothy James Ivory, a patient, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family, on March 7.

Tim was born on January 2, 1959 in Binghamton, NY to Thomas and Sally Ivory. He spent his childhood in Endicott, NY with his three siblings. It is also the place where he met his beautiful wife, Patty, and together they began growing their family. His journey took him from Endicott, NY to Philadelphia, PA, where he extended himself as an artisanal baker and small business owner with his brother Tom, before arriving in Saratoga Springs, NY where he became a Key Account Manager for Thruway Fasteners.

Tim was an avid golfer, cook, philosopher, and friend who left a positive impression on everyone he met. Tim was a spiritual man who acted as the moral and philosophical compass for his family, friends, and anyone else who was lucky enough to know him.  He valued his many friendships especially those with his high school buddies and their Florida golf trips, and the Mahogany Ridge family, who dubbed him "The Rabbi".

He spent 35 years in sobriety and devoted the rest of his life to sponsoring and supporting others on their journey to recovery. Above all, family trumped everything. His greatest pleasure and source of pride was watching his three sons become great men through their life, academic and athletic achievements.  His happiness grew fourfold after the birth of his grandchildren. Nora (6), Margaret (4), Oliver (3), and Emerson (1) loved their "Pops" more than anything and brought him the greatest joy.

Tim is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patty, and sons Patrick, Ryan (Kelley) and Matthew (partner Maddy), and his beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his three siblings Tom (Mary) Ivory, Shawn (Dan) Barnett, and Tami (Al) Azouri and many nieces and nephews. Tim will also be missed by all that knew him. He was loved fiercely because of his giving and helpful nature.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday March 11, 2022 at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
