Obituary

Saratoga Springs-Timothy D. Keating passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family following a hard fought battle with cancer. He was 65. Born in Queens, New York on May 3, 1944, he was the son of Gertrude (Dietz) Keating of Saratoga Springs and the late Timothy Keating. Mr. Keating graduated from St. Anthony's High School, in Smithtown, New York and attended Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. He held positions with various organizations during his career, including the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the New York State Lottery, General Electric, and Bank of America. Mr. Keating was a skilled computer programmer and his services were in high demand throughout his career. In addition to his father, Mr. Keating was predeceased by his stepbrother Charles S. Faust. Survivors include his mother Gertrude; his devoted wife of 45 years, Eileen Ann (Lowth) Keating; his children Timothy Jr. and wife Lisa of Austin, TX; Christopher S. Keating and wife Melissa of Charlotte, NC; and Kenneth J. Keating and wife Christine of Rotterdam, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Devin, Aiden, Victoria, Emma, Grace, Faith and Ethan; his sisters Constance and Virginia and his brother Kenneth. Relatives and friends may call from 11 to 12noon on Friday, June 19, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery on the corner of Weibel Avenue and Loudon Road in Saratoga Springs.
