IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Trevor Lawrence
Quinn
December 9, 1992 – April 30, 2021
Saratoga Springs, NY - Trevor Lawrence Quinn, beloved son of David and Deborah Quinn of Saratoga Springs, the youngest of six sons, left this world on April 30, 2021. Trevor was born on December 9, 1992. He was our miracle baby and almost did not survive his birth. Within four hours of being born, he took his first helicopter ride from Glens Falls Hospital to Albany Medical where he spent ten days in Intensive Care.
Trevor went to Saratoga Springs school until seventh grade when he joined his brothers at Christian Brothers Academy. He enjoyed his time at CBA, particularly the February school bus trips to Florida every year. Trevor graduated from CBA in 2012 then went on to work in several restaurants both in Saratoga Springs and West Palm Beach.
Trevor loved his Xbox and gaming, movies, the History Channel, the Food Channel and other cooking shows, biking and hiking. He had a real passion for cooking and was known for many of his chicken dishes, especially Chicken Parmesan, and his garlic and cheese grilled asparagus. He also loved baking all kinds of breads and the house was often filled with delicious aromas.
He lived most of his life in Saratoga Springs, enjoying the city, horse racing and the many restaurants in and outside of Saratoga. He also liked spending time in Ithaca. Sunset Park was always a favorite destination.
Trevor really enjoyed spending time in Ogunquit visiting the ocean. Hiking along the Marginal Way was a favorite and he really enjoyed the restaurants in the town and in Perkins Cove.
Trevor traveled extensively. He went to the Outer Banks every summer with twenty-five to thirty other family members, traveled to Alaska five times (including staying 100 miles in Denali Park and hiking), Hawaii (hiking the bottom of the volcano crater in Volcanic National Park and within two feet of flowing lava at a volcano tube as the lava inched towards the sea), Ireland, Iceland, France, Montreal and several Caribbean cruises. He went to Florida often, staying frequently at Disney in Orlando. He often joked that he could have been a Disney guide as he had been there almost forty times.
Trevor lived life at his own pace. He was always very polite, loved to talk to people of all ages, was well liked and a pleasure to be around. He was always there to help out. Trevor spent a lot of time with his family, particularly with his brothers and nephews, Jevaun and Darian. He also had several good friends including David Peters, Damien Irizarry, Rory Larsen and Chris Ching.
Trevor struggled with alcohol addiction for the last several years of his life. It was a constant battle. Lately, however, he seemed to be making progress. He was happy, content and looking forward to an upcoming trip to Maine. He spent most of his last day with his mother and really enjoyed his lunch at the golf course.
In addition to his parents, Trevor is survived by his five brothers, Matthew D. Quinn of Las Vegas, Matthew's former spouse Keisha A. Quinn (Reu Danso) and their three children, Jevaun, Darian and Sebastian, Brian M. Quinn of Saratoga Springs, Dennis J. Quinn (Jennie Skorupsky) of Saratoga Springs, Shawn T. Quinn (Julie Ducourt, and their daughter Catherine) of Paris, France, Kevin R. Quinn (Brittney J. Quinn) of New Hyde Park and Buster (Brian's dog who Trevor loved). He is also survived by Warren Ferris, his step grandfather, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Syracuse and Ithaca areas.
We were really lucky to enjoy Trevor and his company for the past twenty-eight plus years. He left all of his family and friends with many wonderful memories which we will always cherish. He is and will be missed terribly. But he now has passed to a much better place with God, no longer having to constantly struggle.
The family plans to have a private service.
