Saratoga Springs, NY - Verna E. Carazza, 89, of Saratoga Springs, passed peacefully on January 4, 2021. She has resided in Saratoga Springs since 1963, and is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael F. Carazza, Sr., whom she will be reunited with for all eternity.

Born and raised in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Carhart and Ellen Carazza.

Verna was a benevolent soul whose kindness and compassion reached all who met her. She brought love and joy wherever she went. Verna believed that the people of the world depended on one another, and demonstrated that through example. A seat at her table was always open.

As an active member of the Saratoga Springs community for nearly 60 years, she was involved with several charity, community, and family organizations while raising her family on Northway Court. Professionally, she was a long-time bookkeeper at Carroll Auto Sales before becoming both a tax preparer and instructor for H&R Block in Saratoga Springs for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 83.

She is survived by her children, Michael F. Carazza, Jr. (Suzanne), Katherine Dugan, Andrew J. Carazza, Sr., and Sandra J. Carazza Stanton (Richard), her grandchildren; Michael F. Carazza, III, Erica (Carazza) Jackson, Stephen Dugan, Andrew Carazza, Jr., Kristine Dugan, Dominic Carazza, Owen Stanton, Sean Stanton, and Reagan Stanton. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Paige Jackson and Jameson Jackson.

There are no calling hours and services will be private.
