Greenfield Center, NY – Vernon F. Ashline, 63, passed away on January 6, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on October 14, 1959 in Schenectady, NY, to the late Herman and Doris Ashline.

Following graduation from Schuylerville High School in 1978 Vernon enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged from the armed forces in 1983. When Vern wasn't spending time with his family he could be found at the lake fishing for bass and he never missed a New York Giants game. He cherished his weekends with his grandkids, teaching them how to swim and ride four-wheelers. Vern was also an avid bowler at the Saratoga Strike Zone for most of his adult life.

He will be greatly missed.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin D. Ashline, children; Joshua L. (Cassandra) Norton, Cory F. (Anna) Ashline, Adam D. (Jessica) Norton, Amanda G. Ashline, and Brandy L. (Broc) Eddy, grandchildren; Grayson and Gage Spencer, Alexys and Gabriel Garbo, Isabella Norton, McKenzie and Brantley Eddy, and Perry and Afton Ashline, and siblings; Vicki (Gilbert) Neil, Herman Ashline, and Doris Hulka.

Funeral services with military honors will be private.
