Saratoga Springs, NY- Veronica Julia King Stevens, of 418 Maple Avenue, passed away at the Saratoga Hospital on May 10, 2023.

Born on April 15, 1936, in Altona NY, she was the daughter of the late, Urles and Evelyn King. Her family lived in Ballston Spa from the ages of five to twelve years old, later moving to Saratoga, where she would spend the rest of her life.

Veronica graduated from Saratoga High School on Lake Ave. She was employed at Lou's Luncheonette and then the Holiday Inn for almost forty years. She loved playing golf, knitting, doing puzzles and playing games on her computer.

In addition to her parents, Veronica was predeceased by four siblings; Barbara Nutting, Gloria Zullo, Larry King and Sonny King.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Edward, whom she met in 1952. The two were married on July 28, 1956 and they spent 66 years together; her two sons, Wayne and his wife Kim and John and his wife Mary; two daughters, Jacqueline Azotea and her husband Jim and Karen Miller and her husband Ed; one sister Geraldine Picard; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a thank you to everyone who had a hand in helping her until the end.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2-4pm on Saturday, May 20,2023 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-5373). A funeral home service will follow at 4pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
