Ballston Spa Vincent Francis Giacalone died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Albany Medical Center. He was 65. Vincent was born March 17, 1943 in Vineland, New Jersey. Vincent resided in Ballston Spa for 21 years during which time he worked for The Golub Corporation in Rotterdam. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971. Mr. Giacalone was a beloved and proud father and grandfather who spent much of his free time in recent years traveling all over the world to visit his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mary Cooper Giacalone; his children, Robert Giacalone and Karen Northon both of Ballston Spa, Elizabeth Radke and her husband John of Panama City, Fl., Charles Giacalone of Petersburg, Va.; his brother Conrad Giacalone and his wife Ann of Wilmington, N.C.; his sister Sharon Downey and her husband Glenn of Jupiter, Fl.; his loving grandchildren, Ashlee, Jonathon, Lily and Anthony; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8pm Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway(584-5373). Funeral services will be 10:30am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.
