Hadley, NY - Virginia Joyce (DuPlease) Corey, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Glens Falls Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1926 in Willsboro, NY, to the late Oscar LeRoy DuPlease and Ina Fay Putney.

Virginia married the love of her life, Edward L. Atwell on September 18, 1948. She was a long-time resident of Saratoga and Clifton Park and enjoyed her time spent working at Adirondack Trust in Saratoga. She was an avid traveler and reader and above all, cherished time spent with family… and of course a tall glass of champagne.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Atwell; her sister, Doris May (DuPlease) Bolton and niece Donna Aloi. She is also predeceased by her second husband, Charles William "Bill" Corey, whom she married later in life.

Survivors include her nephew, Donald Bruce Bolton and wife Penny Bolton; great nieces Donielle Bolton, Dianna Bolton and Traci Aloi; great nephew Mark Aloi as well as several great great nieces & nephews who she adored dearly. She will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
