Ginny was a graduate of Walden High school and was a graduate from Stony Brook University. She had a 26-year career with the NYSDOH and consulted for 15 years with JMJ Healthcare Compliance.
Ginny was raised by Mildred and Beau Boharis. They lived in numerous locations including Norway for seven years which left a lasting impact on her. She spent most of her life in Montgomery, Orange County and Pine Plains, NY. Her love for the Saratoga area was deepened by experiences with friends and family. Attending the Saratoga Jazz Festival, the track, and every possible important event in the lives of her close friends and family.
Ginny is survived by her mother Millie Boharis, her sister Barbara Duffy (Bill), her daughter Shannon Peters Pallen, and grandson Griffin Pallen. She is also survived by her chosen family Zachary Quartararo (Veronica), Noah Quarararo, Peter Quartararo, Kathleen Quartararo, and Jim Hahn. Ginny was a conduit, bridging numerous family members and friends. She loved to celebrate non- birthdays, weddings, graduations, promotions, and big life events. She was an unwavering support during challenging times in the lives of friends and family. She was beyond caring to those important to her. She kept others in mind and loved to connect over food. She loved to try new foods and new restaurants with friends and family. She was an intent listener and offered advice that was full of wisdom.
Ginny lived on Oakridge Farm in Oakridge, Montgomery County in the late 70's to 80's with David Peters. She raised chickens, ducks, and sheep. She knew how to birth a lamb. She ran an egg business she maintained in addition to her wool business. She owned a Canadian Champion sheep dog named Red. Red protected her fiercely; they were cut from the same cloth.
Her life experiences were vast and adventurous, even historians would have a hard time chronicling. She attended Woodstock, had a pilot's license to fly hot air balloons, was a bodybuilder, ran a farm and did so much throughout her life that she was constantly surprising those around her with a new story that she hadn't told in years.
