Wilton, NY - Walter G. Bracy of Rt. 9 passed away suddenly Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 at his residence. He was 76. Born on May 21, 1933 in Chateaugay Lake, NY, he was the son of the late Walter and Gertrude Genoway Bracy. Walter graduated in 1952 from Lyon Mountain High School. He loved country music, playing the guitar, fiddle and the mandolin. Walter was an avid hunter and sportsman and really enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping. He always had a kind word and a smile. Walter's greatest love was his family, who will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sister Anna. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Mary of Wilton; his daughters, Jane Cebula and her husband Jim of Mechanicville and Jean Hawthorne and her husband Bob of Rexford; grandchildren Danyelle, Nicole, David and his companion Joanna; and great grandchildren Torri and Tessa.
