Milton, NY – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Thadeus Putaski on Monday, January 17, 2022. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Louis and Anna Krzystek Putaski.

Walt was the loving husband of 58 years to Patricia Putaski and a supportive and caring father of Jay Scott, Rebecca Hayes and her husband Matthew and Mark and his wife Josephine. He was proud of and loved his grandchildren Sara and Ted Hayes and Ben and Ellie Putaski. Walt is also survived by his sister Mary Anne Adams and brother-in-law Lawrence Prosser and his wife Joanne. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Joseph and sister Julianne Putaski.

Walt was proud of his service in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After graduation from West Virginia University with a degree in chemical engineering, he worked for the Carborundum Company, Norton and retired from Saint Gobain in Watervliet.

Burial with Military Honors will take place at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY in the Spring 2022.

A memorial service will be held in his hometown of Niagara Falls also in the late Spring.
