Albany, NY - On Friday, September 28, 2018, William E. Benton, husband, son and brother passed away at the age of 73. Bill was raised by his beloved family, William E., Irene (Danny) and Fern Benton.

Bill will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend, Marianne and his precious children, son Billy (Jody) and their three children - Kayla, Larissa and Savannah; daughters Janice (Sammy) and their two children - Alex and Cody, Tiffany (Jay) and their four children - Samantha, Megan, Addison and Troy, and youngest daughter Cristal. He also leaves behind his pets Gabbie and Missy. Bill will be forever remembered by his family members.

A native of Saratoga Springs, Bill is a graduate of St. Peter's High School, Saratoga Springs, NY. He attended St. Bonaventure University and graduated with a BA in Business Management. Later, he received his BA in accounting from Siena College and his Masters from RPI. Bill served in Vietnam, retiring as a Major from the U.S. Army. He has held several executive positions in manufacturing, operations and consulting over the past 30 years culminating his career in a partnership with Cornell Development.

Bill will be remembered as a husband and father who was a leader with high integrity, loving and caring with his main focus in life being his family. Bill will be missed by his wife, children, family, friends and pets.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway and burial with military honors will follow at 11:30am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
