Obituary

Porter Corners, NY – William E. Lloyd Jr., 72, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born August 10, 1953 to the late William E. Lloyd Sr. and Jean Lloyd of Saratoga Springs.

He married the late Laurie Ann (Tyler) Lloyd on February 26, 1972 in Saratoga Springs, where he also graduated from high school in the class of 1972. William was employed at ESPY Manufacturing as a welder for 45 years and was a member of IBEW local 1799. He was a longtime member of the Boy Scouts of America (Greenfield Center, NY Troop 18). William was a Life Member of Greenfield Fire Company #2 (Porter Corners) where he volunteered for 32 years.

Along with his parents and wife, William was predeceased by his sister Mary Brooks. He leaves behind his children: Jean Lloyd (John), William Lloyd 3rd (Stephnee), Steven Lloyd (Cheryl), and Erik Lloyd (Nichole); 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 5 sisters.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 (518-584-5373).

Burial will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, January 3 at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in William's name to the Greenfield Fire District #2 (P.O. Box 41 Porter Corners, NY 12859).
