Obituary

SARATOGA SPRINGS - William Slivinsky passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011at the Wesley Health Care Center, a few months shy of his 100th birthday. Born November 3, 1911 in Moonachie, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Marie (Kotalba) Slivinsky. Bill lived there until retiring from the Bergen County Correctional Facility in Hackensack, NJ in 1967. He previously worked for Kudile Bros. Dairy in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. Bill was a volunteer fireman and councilman for many years in Moonachie and held the position of Fire Commissioner. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking out his boat to fish. . Bill lived in High Falls and Aurora, NY before moving to Saratoga Springs in 2001. He was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, Bill is predeceased by his wife Catherine (Molinari) Slivinsky, two sisters, Mary (Muntener) and Helen (Augustensen) , a brother, Adam and his son-in-law, A. Edward DiMiceli. Survivors include a son, Robert Slivinsky (Barbara) of Livingston, NJ and a daughter, Diane DiMiceli of Saratoga Springs. Bill enjoyed his 7 grandchildren, Cathy DiMiceli Masie (Elliott), AnneMarie DiMiceli Hotaling (Michael) and Eric DiMiceli all of Saratoga Springs, Brian (Lisa) DiMiceli of Manlius, Robert, April and Christopher Slivinsky of Winston Salem, North Carolina. He also loved and adored his two great grandchildren, Thomas and Alison DiMiceli of Manlius. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10am Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at Our Lady's Chapel, St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10am in the chapel. Burial will be in Aurora, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
