Greenfield Center - Winifred E. Lowery, of Greenfield Center passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on November 7, 1937, in Ballston Spa, NY, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Winifred (Becker) Woodcock.  Winifred lived most of her life in Greenfield Center and was married to the late Frederick W. Lowery, Sr. for 55 years before being widowed.

Winifred was a kind, caring and giving person who loved working in her flower gardens. She was retired but had been employed at Cudney's Launderer's & Dry Cleaners, Inc. for many years. She was a member of the Gurtler Bros. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 420 Auxiliary and recently received a certificate of appreciation for 53 years of service to that organization. She had served as the Auxiliary's president in the 1970's.

Surviving children include three sons, Frederick Lowery Jr. of Ballston Spa, NY, Edward Lowery of Louisiana, and David Lowery of New Hampshire, and one daughter, Cynthia (Lowery) Ovland of Gansevoort, NY. In addition to her parents, Winifred was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Frederick Sr., her brothers, Kenneth Woodcock, Stephen Woodcock and Charles Woodcock and sister, Bonnie (Woodcock) Patterson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Maplewood Cemetery, Weibel Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY.
